Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Administers all network gear; including switches, routers, wireless, and voice platform hardware Installs, configures, and troubleshoots network infrastructure devices Develops specifications for new network equipment and infrastructure designs Makes decisions/recommendations and has input for networking equipment purchases and usage Designs, analyzes, and configures production network gear Maintains accurate documentation and diagrams of the network and its components Performs moves, adds, and changes of physical equipment (including wiring), as required Configures and supports corporate video conferencing equipment Monitors and plans for network expansion and redesign Works closely with WAN and Telco vendors Provides technical direction, mentoring, and assistance to junior staff, as necessary Adheres to and improves server security policies Maintains knowledge of industry best practices and technological advances Performs all other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred) One or more of the following Cisco certifications: CCNA CCNP (preferred) Experience and advanced knowledge with the following: a.
