Design Activities Design activities undertaken will match the needs of the individual project or set of enhancements being requested. Over time, these will include: Understand and translate business requirements into report and dashboard GUI designs, possibly including creation of requirements prototypes and agreeing design with nominated business users Identifying appropriate OBI features to use for a given business requirement, eg alerts, scheduled reports OBI repository and web catalog design Semantic layer design KPI notifications design Extending local OBI design standards to meet new design challenges Identifying user security issues and designing appropriate solutions to them Responsibility for data warehouse design does not fall within the scope of this role, however it is a desirable skill.
