Project description The purpose of the EDW program is to create and enterprise data warehouse and associated data mart to enable the creation of business intelligence dashboards and reports across the enterprise. The business objective of this project is to create an environment to better measure, monitor and manage business activity which will optimize business performance and improve decision-making ability The enterprise data warehouse is planned to be built on a Microsoft platform and leveraging Microsoft suite of products (i.e: SQL Server database, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS Day to day tasks Define and plan the infrastructure needs for enterprise data warehouse Work with development, Infrastructure, database and operations team to understand EDW requirements, design and recommend the best infrastructure options. Manage the planning and provisioning of different environments (DEV, TEST, PROD etc.) for different releases of EDW. Conduct capacity planning, server sizing, optimization etc. Work with Infrastructure and project teams to conduct cost estimation for hosting and maintenance of environments.
