TELEPHONY ARCHITECT: The Telephony Architect is responsible for the development and deployment of telephony related technologies and standards within the Asurion global environment. This includes call center telephony applications and strategy, telephony solutions for administrative users, new technologies and solutions, large data center deployment capabilities and remote site deployment and implementation. Avaya, SIP, Cisco Voice, H.323, Acme Packet experience. Will architect, design, develop, implement, and perform analysis of technical systems and interfaces relating to telephony technologies, specifically VOIP based systems. This opportunity requires strong technical and business communication and collaboration skills and will work closely with all aspects of our IT and internal business units to help drive a highly available and high performing telephony environment. Asurion is taking on a project to move from Legacy TDM outbound and inbound ld services and local to SIP trunking. They will be doing this across two large PBX's they maintain in Nashville and Sterling, VA. The customer is moving to Verizon first about 10M minutes per months spread across in and outbound. They are a large call center with about 15 sites including 400 at home agents and growing. All sites are served behind the two main switches. Consolidating from TDM to SIP. Needs to have the ability to “Operationalize”. Understand how to design something that can be smoothly handed off to an operations team. Provide guidance, tips, and share the “pitfalls”, so that the operations team understands. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as part of architecture team to establish and maintain telephony/network roadmap Gather and analyze project requirements and implement telephony architecture based on defined standards and methodologies. Develop configuration and implementation instructions for routine deployments and daily tasks. Complete As-Built documentation for current and new network related design concepts and deployments. Provide on-call support for tier 3 escalations. Design, maintain and deploy branch office locations as necessary. Demonstrated ability to provide project level support throughout the entire project lifecycle. Planning, action plan development, implementation and troubleshooting. REQUIREMENTS: 7+ years of experience in large telephony environments including call centers Advanced knowledge of SIP Trunking, H.323, ISDN and carrier call routing Advanced knowledge of Avaya and Cisco telephony environments including Avaya Session Manager and Cisco ICM/CVP Additional hardware: Acme Packet SBCs, Cisco UCS, Cisco routing and switching including Nexus platform Knowledge of industry standards and practices related to Telephony in general and VOIP in particular.
