At Corp-Corp, we provide fast paced connections between IT consultants or contractors with the clients who need their help. At the same time, we look to provide some advice and keep you abreast of the Consulting world, new products, and information or seminars that can help you excel.
But, and this might surprise you, we aren’t the only ones trying to help.
There are almost as many blogs about consulting as there are consultants in the world. It’s difficult to weed through which blogs are run by people just starting out and the sites which have truly helpful content.
Tech Republic is one of the best resources out there for advice or reference material. A beacon of tech on the web, it draws in many talented and respected writers whose experiences are priceless. Many of their articles also include a summary at the top to ensure you’re reading something that you will benefit from.
While their articles aren’t always strictly consulting oriented, there is infinite knowledge to be gained from the variety the provide. Keep abreast of the ebbs and flows of the business and tech developments while reading well articulated articles that will definitely increase your understanding of the consultant’s craft.
This is my favorite articles, because it advises you to take a path most don’t consider.
While eponymous aimed at women, this blog should be read by any and everyone interested in consulting and small businesses. Their articles have truly impressive range and depth. They also host workshops and events. This site is a real hub for anyone who is interested in the business.
They aren’t focused specifically on tech articles but that does not detract from their relevancy. Consultants share much in common even when their particular fields are different.
This article discusses asking for – and receiving – help when you need it.
Carve consulting is another impressive website. Carve is really a small company that seeks to help businesses leverage social media with more efficacy. They “don’t like being bracketed” and offer a wide range of services. Their blog reflects this.
Their posts are visually stimulating: interviews or presentations by Steve Jobs, graphics explaining different social media platforms. As a consultant, reading their information will definitely increase your understanding of how to leave a footprint.
This article is a lovingly crafted explanation of social media and how it can benefit you.
I love the name, if nothing else. The domain of Michael McLaughlin, Consult This offers a wide array of topics on consulting garnered over a long and flavorful career. His major goal, it could be said, is to keep you sane. His articles promote consulting as a good way to maintain sanity, and then goes on to advise on how to make sure you don’t lose sight of that.
You can tell a well run individual blog by the presence of self-written books – e-books or otherwise – and Mike follows through on that.
This article keeps you in check, ensuring you your talents may seem mundane to you but are massively valuable to your client.
