Job Title: Database Architect
Work Location: Middletown, CT
Job Length: 6+ months

Information Architect JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will be responsible for Modeling project-level data models for applications. Responsibilities include the coordinating and working with resources from the business, development and database administration areas to develop an information solution that advances business capabilities as well as aligns to best practices within Information Architecture. The Information Architect has responsibility for the gathering of data requirements through facilitated sessions or Use Cases, and designing data models based on those requirements. The Information Architect must be able to influence the project team to design and build quality data models within defined standards. The Information Architect has responsibility for review and approval of the data model by the project team and the Information Architecture practice. The Information Architect is required to handle multiple project assignments, manage and negotiate work load with the project manager, escalate issues as necessary to their management, and possess excellent communication skills.

SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 8+ years in data modeling experience. Excellent communication skills, excellent time management skills, and must be able to work well in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex and often contentious issues, reach consensus and work through people to achieve key goals. Healthcare or Insurance/Financial services industry knowledge. Outstanding oral and written communication skills including formal presentations for all levels of management combined with strong collaboration/influencing abilities. Experience with advantage and Erwin. Experience with Jumar and the Rational Suite also a plus.

Preferred if consultant has earlier worked with Healthcare/Insurance
